It is true that the Roborock S5 Max is already a slightly older model, which is already difficult to find in the market, so the choice is usually between the Q7 Max and the S7.

Q7 Max vs S7 - which is better?

Currently, the price between the Roborock Q7 Max and Roborock S7 models is around €50. The main difference between these models is that the Q7 Max has a higher maximum suction power, while the S7 has a better VibraRise wet cleaning system. This system is characterized by the fact that the wet cleaning cloth vibrates with sudden movements in different directions and more effectively cleans even the most dry areas.

Also, it is important to mention that the "VibraRise" system can lift a damp cloth 0.5 cm up, so that when the robot pump runs over the carpet, it will not be moistened/wetted. True, this function is most effective on short-pile carpets, in other cases - you can change the settings so that the robot vacuum simply avoids all carpets (if wet cleaning is set).

Well, what about suction power? After all, Roborock Q7 Max has even 4200Pa, while Roborock S7 only has 2500Pa. Speaking from personal experience, I think that 2500Pa suction power is enough for the pump to perform high-quality suction in different situations. Yes, if your home brings more sand or pebbles, especially on carpets with longer pile - then the higher power of the Q7 Max can become an important factor.

Roborock S7 Plus and Roborock Q7 Max Plus have different design stations, but their functions are identical - to transfer collected dust from the internal dust box of the robot vacuum to a larger capacity dust bag in the station. Although the "Plus" station of the S7 model can also collect dust in a plastic container (bags are not needed then), but if you are allergic and want more hygiene - then we recommend using disposable replaceable dust bags anyway.

ULTRA multifunctional stations belong to the premium segment both due to their higher price and functional capabilities. Most often, these ULTRA stations are immediately equipped with higher class robotic pumps, e.g. Roborock S7 Pro Ultra, Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. These stations are able not only to collect dust, but also to refill the robot pump with clean water and wash the wet cleaning cloth. The latest S8 Pro ULTRA model also has a cloth drying function.

As I mentioned before, both "Plus" and "Ultra" stations are like an accessory that provides more convenience and saves you more time. However, you have to pay accordingly. Is it worth buying such sets? Everything depends on the available budget and needs. But I can say from experience - it's really easy to get used to the good, especially with an ULTRA stop.
