We continue our reviews section and this time we share our impressions about VSETT 10+ e. scooter after almost 4 months. driving and testing! 

Unboxing

VSETT 10+ electric scooter ordered from DHgate e-scooter shops. Since it was a brand new model, it could only be ordered from the Chinese warehouse. Shipping to Lithuania took about 2 months. All taxes and duties were taken care of by the seller, so you didn't have to pay anything extra. Delivered directly to your home by UPS courier. The box is a little battered after being transported halfway around the world, but all the contents inside and the scooter itself are alive and well! All good.

Quality

Starting with the unboxing, it was immediately felt that the VSETT 10+ model was assembled with quality and solidity. Something similar to Inokim OXO quality, although maybe even better! The steering wheel folding mechanism is well made, the whole body is strong, the mudguards are serious. The 60V 28Ah version we tested came with NUTT hydraulic brakes, which are significantly better than the ZOOM. Better controllers, a brighter and larger display and more serious shock absorbers are still missing before complete happiness.

Specifications

As we mentioned earlier, we tested the VSETT 10+ model with the most capacious 60V 28Ah LG battery, which is fully sufficient even for longer rides. The actual mileage depends on many factors, but we averaged about 50-60 km without saving when driving with two engines. Even 2*1400W + (30-35A) ensures very fun acceleration. The scooter just starts from one start, the front wheel spins... Of course, who doesn't like a sharp start - you can change the parameters and soften it to your liking.

Comfort / stability

The first thing that was felt after stepping on the scooter was the very soft suspension. When driving over various bumps and potholes - the shock absorbers absorb everything very well, so it is less tiring for the legs, it is a pleasure to drive. On the other hand, such comfort affects the stability of the scooter, you need to work more with your hands and the balance of your whole body. This is especially felt when going off-road. When driving at higher speeds (60km/h+) a slight wobble is also felt, so I think it's worth thinking about a damper.

Test ride

Thanks to its soft suspension, the VSETT 10+ scooter is ideal for riding in the city. All road irregularities, potholes, "tile" roads, etc. this scooter is a joke. You feel very comfortable while driving, you don't shake your arms and legs like e.g. Kaabo Wolf Warrior King or Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Pro models. You can especially feel that fine softness when you go from Kaab directly to VSETT 10+.

It's true, when you enter a forest path, where the road surface is not so solid, where there are all kinds of tree roots, fallen branches, sand and you need more stability - then Kaabo Wolf Warrior scooters gain their advantage. So, for forest trails and ruts, in my opinion the VSETT is a bit too soft, too much rocking and making it harder to control. Yes, it can still be driven and it has been driven through the woods a lot, but it is still more pleasant to drive it on city paths.

What did we like?

VSETT 10+ can be unlocked with NFC cards or a phone - a very nice and modern solution. The design itself is really eye-catching, something from the "Bumblebee" series. Quality, power, speed, comfort - this is the business card of this scooter. It can be said (not possible, but it is) that it is an updated ZERO 10X model with bug fixes and welcome improvements. 

Charging can be accelerated using 2 chargers (only 1 in the set). The VSETT 10+ also features swivel/fold handlebars for greater compactness and easier transport. There is a hook in the middle of the steering wheel, which serves to carry or lift the scooter somewhere. 

What could be better?

He drove with this VSETT on various roads, he saw city roads and forest narrow roads and gravel with sand. After passing about 500 km, a noise started to be heard from the shock absorbers. Of course, it doesn't stop you from driving further, but as far as I could tell, everyone who has driven more with their VSETT 10+ faces the same problem. The good news is that the shock absorbers can be easily changed to better ones, as they are standard (front 125mm, rear 165mm). 

The steering wheel knobs tend to loosen after a while, so don't forget to check before driving. It is also worth checking all the mudguard screws, because they like to loosen and get lost due to vibration. The LED light in the front is quite weak, so you should put something more serious on the steering wheel at darker times of the day. VSETT 10+ has LED cornering lights, but they are placed quite low, they are not very bright - so they are poorly visible to other road users. Finally, it should be mentioned that the scooter weighs 36 kg.

Verdict

The VSETT 10+ is one of the best city scooters of 2021 in our opinion. Solid, strong, comfortable and soft ride. It puts a smile on your face every time because of its powerful engines and very fun acceleration when you press the throttle all the way down. Yes, there are some places that could be better (display, shock absorbers, damper) - but judging by the price/quality ratio - I think no one has yet regretted choosing this particular model.
