Unboxing

We ordered Roborock H7 from Geekbuying e-mail. shops. The package arrived from the EU warehouse within 5 working days, delivered directly to the home by courier. No additional taxes or duties had to be paid. The pump box was safely packed in an additional shipping box, so there was no damage.

After opening the main box - inside we found everything neatly put in its place. Every detail, every pump nozzle and other accessories are also packed in protective plastic bags, in other words a high quality unboxing experience. 

Quality

From the first moments of unboxing, Roborock H7 appeared as a top class product. Good assembly quality, you really don't feel any "cheap" materials or details, all the connections are neat, they come together nicely. The design is just as solid and pleasing to the eye. I liked that there is an OLED screen, all the buttons are in their place, convenient to use.

Complete set

Basically, there were only two attachments/nozzles that were used the most at home: the basic "V-shaped" motorized brush (for hard and carpet) and the short bristle nozzle (for vacuuming smaller surfaces). Of course, during the test, we also tried the narrower motorized nozzle for the sofa. In fact, you will find everything you need in the Roborock H7 package, apart from the wet cleaning accessory (which can be purchased separately).

Suction quality

When connected to the 160AW in the most powerful mode - the pump is sometimes really difficult to remove that medium hair carpet, because it sucks in strongly. Of course, using MAX power, the battery will only last for about 10 minutes, but this is already the case with all wireless pumps. True, MAX mode will be needed only in very special cases, personally I usually use the medium level and it is completely enough. So, Roborock H7 vacuums well and with high quality, not too many long hairs get caught on the "V-shaped" brush, so you rarely have to scrape it off. 

What did we like?

MagBase accessories are basically magnets attached to each tip that quickly and easily attach to both the included charging/storage dock and any other metal surface, e.g. refrigerator. A revolution? - No. Convenience? - Yes. Something new? - Yes.

The OLED screen provides accurate information about the remaining battery in the selected suction mode and of course shows - in minutes and seconds - how much time will be left to pump with the selected power. To all of this, I would add a separate "lock" button, which, when pressed, eliminates the need to constantly hold the suction button. Comfortable and practical.

The possibility of using replaceable dust bags, which will prevent dust from falling/dispersing when you empty the regular dust collection container. If you are sensitive, allergic to dust and want more convenience/pedantry - then this option should make you happy. True, the prices of the bags are about 50 cents. / pc., and you will have to change it quite often.

What we didn't like?

Auto carpet detection/auto boost. Although I would basically add this feature to the benefits, personally I would like to be able to turn it off/on whenever I want. If the carpet is smaller or lighter, it can easily get caught in the brush and then the brush motor will be blocked. So, these types of mats will be very difficult to vacuum because the power automatically increases.

The main brush could have a built-in LED light, so that dust can be better seen in the dark or under furniture (where there is no lighting). Several models of ROIDMI pumps have already offered such a solution, and the new Dreame V12 (short narrow nozzle) has a built-in practical light.

It would be nice if the Roborock H7 came right out of the box with a wet cleaning nozzle. Knowing that the pump itself costs about 250 EUR during the campaign + the price of the wet cleaning nozzle reaches about 80-90 EUR, this is already quite a considerable amount of money...

Verdict

If you are looking for a high-quality, powerful hand-held wireless vacuum cleaner with good suction quality, suitable for use on both hard and carpet surfaces, you want extra benefits and conveniences, such as the use of dust bags, accessories that stick comfortably and easily with the help of magnets - then the Roborock H7 will certainly be wonderful choice.

If you are looking for something similar, but you do not need the advantages listed above and want to get the best price/quality option - I would recommend you to look at the Dreame T20 / V11 models (~ 230 EUR). If you have a robot pump at home, and you are looking for an extra simple auxiliary manual pump up to 180 EUR - the Dreame T10 / V10 should be perfect.
