Unboxing
We ordered this animal from the DHgate e-store, the delivery took about 1 month. arrived safe and sound, delivered directly to home by UPS courier. I really liked that it was safely packed, really spared no effort on the quality box and protective cardboard. Even the brake discs had additional protections to prevent them from collapsing during transport, very nice!
Complete set
We specifically ordered the "MAX" model because of its higher power (peak 8400W), better and more efficient brakes and a larger 72V 32Ah battery. Now the 72V 40Ah model has also appeared, but shipping is only from the Chinese warehouse - which means that it would arrive only after 2-2.5 months. The box contained: a manual, a damper, a more serious 5A charger, keys and of course the scooter itself (and off-road tires, ordered additionally).
Preparation
With all the unboxing, taking pictures, assembling, it took us about 40 minutes, but what really needed to be done was to attach the steering wheel, screw and adjust the damper, inflate the tires and the scooter was ready for a test drive! If there were no photo shoots, everything would have taken up to 15 minutes max. Also, follow this info to adjust the scooter for optimal settings/riding comfort: https://electric-scooter.guide/.../set-up-nami-burn-e-2-max/ (maybe it will be useful for someone).
First impressions
The steering wheel is higher and wider than the previously tested Kaabo Wolf KING - it seemed a little unusual at first, but I would say more convenient and comfortable. The steering wheel folding mechanism itself is exceptional, well made and locks/locks firmly. Of course, the carbon frame of the steering wheel itself does not look very proportional compared to such a massive scooter, but so far - everything is ok, there is no wobble or "feeling of insecurity" when driving. Of course, it is not as strong and rigid as the dual-stem variants, but I have no major complaints.
The hydraulic shock absorbers are adjustable, we turned the front slightly to make it stiffer and provide more stability when driving at higher speeds, we left the rear stock, as it was out of the box. We actually turned the damping adjustment wheel to the fastest rebound level, it drives very comfortably and softly, it perfectly absorbs road irregularities and potholes. I would say that it is a very big advantage that the shock absorbers are easily and conveniently adjusted and can be customized (you don't need to change any bushings or other details, just turn it as much as you need and that's it).
Brakes are hydraulic by "LOGAN" manufacturer, front and rear with 4 pistons. From the first test drives, it appeared that the brakes are better and more efficient than previously tested models with NUTT and ZOOM brakes. We'll see how it goes, but I saw that many people like to upgrade to Magura MT5e. We'll see how it will be in the long term, but stock ones are quite enough for me.
The standing base is wide and large, perfectly fits both my feet next to each other in size 45 shoes. In the back - a comfortable metal leg support (part of the frame), very useful if you want to press the gas to the bottom, haha! It is also very convenient and safe to put a lock on the end of the same frame, if you want to keep the scooter near a store or something.
What was perhaps a bit unusual and strange was to go from pressing the gas from above (with the index finger) to pressing the gas with the thumb from below. Especially after the very sensitive Minimotors controller / EY3 controller, this one seems to have quite a delay (response time) and still has quite a large dead zone at the beginning. Of course, it may be a matter of getting used to it, but when driving on forest roads and when you need to overcome some roots or other road irregularities, a sharper and more precise throttle is a big advantage.
It's nice that there is a bigger screen, you can see a lot of information about the speed, selected driving mode, turns, lights, etc. There is also a lot of freedom left for customization, e.g. it is possible to set the sharpness/power of the front motor and the rear motor separately (eg front 40%, rear 60%).
When it comes to power, speed and acceleration, this beast is really fun to run. It doesn't matter if you press the gas from 0km/h, or if you drive 50km/h and want to click even more - immediately turn on that instantaneous 8400W power, which will be overlooked by many and you will actually only use some 5-10% during the entire ride. Well, anyway, it's a very good feeling to know that if there is a need or desire - the scooter will not let you down and will let you feel that adrenaline and put a smile on your face every time. Anyone who has tried powerful scooters probably knows and the 100% will agree with me.
Today we drove about 32 km, there were faster sections at 40-50 km/h, there were also slower ones in the city at 15-25 km/h, but if we rely on the information displayed on the screen - about 70% batteries are left. I would say that the 72V 32Ah battery should be enough even for longer rides, the optimal option. Of course, now all new "E2 MAX" models will go with a 72V 40Ah battery, so you will be able to drive freely from Vilnius to Kaunas, haha!
And for dessert, there are even more minor observations. After accelerating to about 60 km/h and suddenly releasing the gas, a vibration is felt in the front. I don't know if it's just natural because of the massive motor/wheel or maybe something else, you'll need to test it more. A bolt-on damper works well, gives more stability, but that protruding cylinder with the control wheel rotates on its axis and sinks down. It doesn't interfere, but maybe who knows if it has to be like that, or if you still have to hold on tight?!
Verdict
NAMI BURN E2 Max is a fun, comfortable and powerful scooter in the premium segment, which is aimed, of course, at scooter enthusiasts. Compared to Kaabo's Wolf KING, I would say that NAMI is more of a city, asphalt track car, while KING is a triper for forest tracks and light off-road. If you are an enthusiast and the budget is not a problem - I would suggest choosing one or the other option, depending on where you like to ride more. These scooters will not disappoint!
