„Invest in a cleaner home environment“ – this could be the advertising slogan for the BlitzHome 13in1 washing and steam cleaning vacuum cleaner. Often, such multifunctional devices do not meet expectations in reality and collect dust in the corner. Therefore, it is necessary to find out – is this model really able to clean stubborn stains, or will it only clean your wallet nicely?

Assessment:
What did we like?
What didn't we like?
What's in the box?
We have a fairly large box on the table, and its design immediately tells you what kind of „beast” we’re dealing with. When I opened it, I missed a little more secure packaging – the cardboard inserts inside don’t seem very durable, and there’s no additional side protection either. However, everything is neatly and compactly packed.

At the very top of the box, I was greeted by the user manual and one nozzle that didn't fit deeper in the box. As I continued unpacking, my eyes started to water from the abundance of the package - I counted a total of 12 different nozzles and a cloth, and when I put them aside, the BlitzHome vacuum cleaner itself appeared.

The latter has two removable water tanks for clean and dirty water. There is a carrying handle on the top, a 1.5m suction hose at the back and a coiled 220V power cable. On the front is a control panel with on/off and different function buttons.

First impressions
The somewhat unusual shaped washing pump turned out to be of modern design and is really compact for its size. All the included nozzles seem to be of high quality, only the attached cloth seems to be made of cheaper material, because it started to fray before I even started using it.

The build quality of the pump itself is questionable. The water tanks seem quite thin, the plastic isn't very sturdy, so durability is questionable. The tanks are transparent, so they can get scratched and lose their shine over time, and if you accidentally drop them on a harder surface, the thin plastic seems to break easily. Due to the compact size, the power cable has nowhere to hide, so it hangs off the side of the pump all the time.

The control panel and the control buttons on it caught my eye. When using such a device, I would like physical buttons, but here we have touch-sensitive ones. The control panel consists of ON / OFF and four different mode buttons. Slightly higher are the water tank indicators, which notify when the tank is empty and needs to be filled with water and when it is overflowing with dirty water.

Functionality
BlitzHome BH-C688C is not a device that you take out of the box and after a few seconds you already know all its functions. At first, when you see the number of nozzles, you really have to turn your head, where to start and what rituals you will need to perform in order to use this pump. However, not everything is as complicated as it seems. Just fill the water tank, select the mode, attach the appropriate nozzle and get to work. And you can really do a lot with it.

The most interesting thing is that all functions can be combined with different nozzles, so BlitzHome can wash not only sofas or carpets. If necessary, it can steam clothes, clean windows, remove limescale, disinfect surfaces or help tidy up the car interior. In other words, it is not just a washing vacuum cleaner, but a whole cleaning arsenal in one.

Cold Water
The cold water mode is for fresh stains – spilled coffee, juice or sauces. During the test, I accidentally knocked over a flower pot on the carpet, so I had a great opportunity to try this function. The vacuum easily picked up the dirt on the surface, but the dirt that had penetrated deeper into the carpet required more time and patience. The result is not bad, but I wouldn’t call it a quick process.

Hot Water
The hot water mode is for stubborn dirt. After turning on the function, you need to wait up to about 30 seconds for the water to heat up. For the test, I chose doormats that were full of pet hair and dirt from shoes. The dirt was removed quite effectively, but a good result takes time - you have to work slowly, refill the water tank, and some of the hair remains on the nozzle. Although the mode does its job, I would like more suction power, because the mats remain quite damp after cleaning.

Steam
If hot water is not enough, steam comes to the rescue. This mode helps to lift stubborn dirt, neutralize unpleasant odors and refresh fabrics. After testing steam cleaning, it turned out that its effectiveness is very similar to the hot water mode, but it uses significantly less water - dirt is easier to separate from the surface and remove.

I also tried the other attachments in the kit. With the help of steam, I was able to quickly renew a plastic shoe mat, which clearly regained its color. True, you shouldn't expect miracles - steam couldn't overcome the old limescale in the bathroom, but it copes with lighter dirt quite well.

Steam Sterilization
This mode is not for stains, but for hygiene. Hot steam helps to revitalize fabrics and reduce the amount of bacteria and dust mites, so it is especially suitable for mattresses, sofas or favorite places of pets. Unlike regular steam cleaning, this does not use the suction function, so the device works more quietly. However, before using it, it is worth pointing the nozzle somewhere far away - if there is still water in the system, a jet of water may appear first, and only then steam.

Karcher Puzzi 8/1 test
To better understand what to expect from a professional washing pump, I included the Kärcher Puzzi 8/1 in the test. Although both devices belong to completely different price categories, it was interesting to compare how they would perform in real-world situations.

True, the Blitzhome pump I tested works a little differently – no chemicals or detergents can be added to the water tank. To ensure equal conditions during all tests, the fabrics were sprayed with a detergent solution before cleaning.

In my first test, I tried to clean a carpet that had never seen anything like it in my life. Both vacuums coped with the task, but the Kärcher did the job faster, more efficiently, and left a much drier carpet surface. The BlitzHome also picked up a lot of dirt, but it took more time and patience.
In the second and third tests with coffee and juice stains, the picture remained similar - BlitzHome removed the stains, but due to its lower suction power, more repetitions and effort were required. Kärcher coped with the same tasks faster and more efficiently.
After all the tests, the main differences became clear. BlitzHome BH-C688C offers more functions - you can choose different cleaning modes, use hot water or steam, but here its biggest drawback appears - suction power. Compared to the Kärcher Puzzi 8/1, the cleaning process takes much longer, and the cleaned surfaces remain wetter.

The cleaning process is also accelerated by a pre-prepared mixture of water and fabric cleaner, which can be sprayed onto the fabric and vacuumed with the Karcher Puzzi 8/1. Meanwhile, this is a kind of minus for the Blitz Home pump, as it does not have such a convenient pre-prepared spraying solution. However, if a professional pump is not in the budget, the BlitzHome can be a good choice for everyday household chores.

Verdict
After all the tests, it became clear that the BlitzHome BH-C688C is not a professional washing vacuum cleaner, but it does not claim to be one. Its biggest advantages are versatility, compact size and extensive equipment. With one device, you can wash upholstery, use hot water, steam clean, revive fabrics or tidy up the car interior.

However, the main drawback of this pump is its suction power. To achieve a good result, you have to work slower, do more repetitions, refill the water tank more often, and the cleaned surfaces remain damp and will take time to dry.

Considering the price of around 100-130 euros, the BlitzHome BH-C688C leaves a mixed impression. For this amount you get a multifunctional device with a rich set of features. However, for a lower price you have to pay with a longer and more labor-intensive cleaning process. If you have to remove stains often, I would suggest investing in a more powerful device and thus make your home cleaning work easier.
