Although the ULTIMEA brand appeared on the market more than 10 years ago, I personally learned about it and became interested only in early 2023. ULTIMEA specializes in video and audio, and more precisely, in home audio systems and projectors. The NiuxTech team also tested one of their models - Poseidon D60 (see detailed review below) Well, we are currently testing the recently launched ULTIMEA Apollo S80.

ULTIMEA sound systems

ULTIMEA offers a number of different soundbars, various surround sound systems and projectors - so in this article I will share the TOP10 offers that, in my opinion, are the most worth paying attention to. Generally speaking, this manufacturer's products have a good price/quality ratio, you can find both budget-class options and mid-range choices.

ULTIMATE Nova S40

Let's start with a budget model, the price of which is less than €100. Ultimea Nova S40 is a 2.1 sound system, which consists of a soundbar and a subwoofer, and the maximum (peak) power reaches 160W. In this model you will find all the necessary connections: HDMI (ARC), AUX, USB, Bluetooth. One of the main advantages is the compact design, the height of the soundbar is only 3.8cm. If the integrated speakers of your TV are not satisfactory, but at the same time you do not want to invest a large amount - I would say Nova S40 is a pretty good choice.

ULTIMATE Apollo S70

This Apollo series soundbar features a versatile design and LED lighting that enlivens the movie-watching and music-listening experience. The Apollo S70 can be connected to form a single, elongated speaker (soundbar) or can be laid out in 3 separate parts (center speaker + two side speakers). Sound EQ and LED lighting settings can be conveniently controlled via phone, and the maximum power declared by the manufacturer is 180W. However, if you expect better bass, then it is better to choose another model that has a separate SUB. (e.g. Apollo S80, Poseidon D60).

ULTIMATE Apollo S80

Although this model is about €60 more expensive than the previously reviewed S70, it has significant advantages: a subwoofer with LED lighting, up to 320W maximum power and Dolby Atmos support. Whether you need this lighting is up to you. Some like it, others don't. True, it should be mentioned that the lights themselves are not synchronized with the image (colors) displayed on the TV screen. Which is a shame, because if such a function were available - I think it would be a huge advantage and uniqueness.

ULTIMATE Poseidon D50

Is it possible to create a surround sound effect at home without spending €100? Absolutely. Although the Poseidon D50 is a budget-class option in terms of price, you will definitely be able to feel the difference compared to the Apollo S70. The two rear speakers are exactly that "game changer". Of course, expecting to feel like you are in a movie theater would be naive, because small speakers are limited in their capabilities. On the other hand - without spending a large amount - watching movies will become really more enjoyable.

ULTIMATE Poseidon D60

As you probably already understood, we move on to models that can offer more serious "Surround Sound", which are usually 5.1 and 7.1 systems. Poseidon D60 has a maximum power of 410W and has a 5.25'' subwoofer. For €150, it's really a good option. ULTIMATE Nova S80

The Nova S introduces itself as an "ultra-slim" series model. The main soundbar and rear speakers are 3.8cm high, and the total maximum power (peak power) reaches 520W. ULTIMEA Nova S80 is a 5.1.2 sound system, which means that it has 2 additional speakers that are directed upwards to create even better surround sound (the sound rises and bounces off the ceiling). Although various reviews regarding sound quality and other bugs can be found online, it seems that the manufacturer itself has responded by releasing a new firmware version accordingly.

ULTIMATE Poseidon D80

This is the latest Poseidon family sound system, the main technical parameters of which are as follows: Dolby Atmos 7.1 surround sound, 460W maximum power, 6.5" subwoofer and smart control via phone APP. If you do not have a place at home where you could properly place the rear speakers - the manufacturer has thought about this and offers to choose a set with special stands. Both in terms of parameters and customer feedback - this is one of the best ULTIMEA models at a fairly attractive price.

ULTIMATE Nova S90

If you want the best and most powerful ULTIMEA model currently offered - here it is - Nova S90. Wall-shaking 740W maximum power, an 8" SUB ensuring high-quality low frequencies, and thanks to the 7.1.4 system, you will feel like you are in a real movie theater. Just don't forget to try some popcorn and take care of your favorite drinks! The only strange observation is that although this is the most expensive ULTIMEA model, it does not have settings and control via APP.

ULTIMEA projectors

Projector + surround sound system can be a great combination to create a cozy home cinema environment. You don't need thousands of euros to implement such a project. For example, we bundle the ULTIMEA Apollo P50 projector (about €175) with Poseidon D60 sound system (about €150) and we can enjoy memorable and fun movie nights with family or friends, watch basketball games, etc.

ULTIMATE Apollo P50

Currently, one of the most popular and best-selling ULTIMEA projectors is the Apollo P50. This €180 little one features 700ANSI brightness, automatic image correction and focus, Dolby Audio support, a Linux OS that supports over 1000 APPs, and Netflix Full HD streaming.

ULTIMEA Nova C40

Maybe a bit of an "overpriced" model according to its parameters, but what I liked was its design and integrated stand. Thanks to this stand, the image projection can be tilted to the desired angle. Yes, even 90° when directing the image to the ceiling. As for the parameters - they are average, but will be more than enough for a darker environment. 600 ANSI brightness, Full HD resolution, HDR10 + HLG, autofocus and corrections, Android TV 11.0 operating system.
