POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro phones were officially launched on May 9, 2023! As could be expected - the previous information about the expected parameters was fully confirmed. But still, are these new POCO models worth paying attention to and how much will they cost?
POCO F5
The POCO F5 phone features a new generation Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 (4nm) processor, which is really fast, collecting almost 970,000 points according to AnTuTu tests and is even better than the previous generation Snapdragon 888. On the front of the phone, we will find a 6.67" AMOLED HDR10+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support.
The new F5 model is also equipped with the already standard 5000mAh capacity battery, with a charging speed of 67W, which will allow the phone to be fully charged from 0 to 100% in just 46 minutes. Although POCO F5 could be assigned to the "entry-level" category, the parameters are really good: 256GB UFS 3.1 internal memory, 8GB or 12GB RAM RAM, 64MP main camera with image stabilization system (OIS).
Well, the most important question is - what is the price? During the official presentation, the manufacturer announced that the early bird price for the POCO F5 model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will start at only $329 USD, which, when converted to EUR, is approximately €300. Really not bad!
POCO F5 Pro
Meanwhile, talking about the more powerful POCO F5 Pro brother, the main parameters are as follows: Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 (4nm) processor, 6.67" WQHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision, 64MP main camera with OIS, 16MP resolution front selfie camera, 5160mAh capacity battery, 67W fast charging function and 30W wireless charging.
It should also be noted that POCO F5 has a lateral finger scanning function, where the sensor is integrated into the power button, while POCO F5 Pro uses a more advanced optical finger scanning sensor, which is "hidden" under the phone's screen.
Of course, you will have to pay more for the advantages and slightly better parameters of the "PRO" model. The POCO F5 Pro 8+256GB model costs $$429 during pre-order, which comes to approximately €391. So, compared to a simple F5 phone, the difference plus minus comes to ~ 90€.
