We continue our review column and this time we want to share our impressions of the Kaabo Wolf Warrior KING scooter!
Wolf Warrior King of Kaab
Assessment:

Unboxing
We ordered the Kaabo Wolf Warrior KING 72V 28Ah electric scooter from e. stores at DHgate. At that time, it was possible to ship this model only from the Chinese warehouse, so the entire shipment took about 2.5 months in total. until it reached Lithuania. All taxes and duties were taken care of by the seller, so you didn't have to pay anything extra. True, currently Kaabo KING can be ordered with faster delivery from the EU warehouse, which takes only 1-2 weeks. All possible offers will be presented at the end of the review.
Quality
When you get a box that weighs almost 60kg - you probably have to expect something serious... And it was - KING is a real monster, due to its solid, strong and quality assembly. In principle, there is not even much where you can hang on, well, except for the steering wheel folding mechanism. This solution of Kaab is quite inconvenient and the first time we assembled it - it took maybe 15 minutes to figure out how to record everything normally. Another thing is the ZOOM brakes... I really wanted something more serious, but in terms of the overall quality of the assembly, Wolf King is simply DANGEROUS.
Beast power
In short, this scooter has power and speed in the blink of an eye. Maybe a little too much? Two driven wheels 2*1500W, impressive instantaneous power of 6720W, quality 72V 28Ah Samsung battery and max. the developed speed is 90km/h+. It sounds very impressive on paper - but believe me - once you get on the scooter, it becomes even more impressive. There wasn't a single roller coaster that KING didn't ride. It's true, one thing that I didn't really like was that the "Turbo/ECO" button doesn't change much... It's basically impossible to drive this monster calmly (well, unless you turn on 1 engine + ECO + MODE 1).
Kaabo King / VSETT 11+ / Zero 11X
Before choosing the KING model, we weighed between it, VSETT 11+ and ZERO 11X. Basically, the parameters of the scooters are all very similar, but we still chose the KING model. Why?
Well, first of all, our need was to drive mainly on off-road roads, mainly in forests. The Wolf King model has stiffer front shock absorbers that provide more stability, making it easier to maneuver and feel the scooter on off-road. The second thing is a 72V battery that can develop a higher speed. Do you need such speed in the forest? NO. Did you just want to try max. speed for fun and extreme feeling? YES.
Off-road driving
As we mentioned, the scooter was bought with the idea of riding the 80% only on off-road forest roads. In a few months managed to run 500km+. We passed about half of the "100 km around Vilnius" track - we can say that it was a very fun experience. There are a lot of beautiful natural places, and the bike did not disappoint even once. Well... except for those times when you had to move KING over fallen trees, then it's not so easy. Haha.
Due to the rather hard shock absorbers, a considerable part of the vibration is transmitted to the steering wheel and, of course, shakes the hands well. Here we are talking about cases where you drive over tree roots, branches, and pebbles. It is not ideal and very comfortable, but it is precisely because of this that it is easier to maneuver and you feel much better steering control and stability than e.g. compared to VSETT 10+ or the same ZERO 11X.
What did we like?
I really liked all the extreeme rides in the woods, I liked the solid build quality, I liked feeling the beastly power and wheel turns, I liked feeling the stability both off-road and on asphalt when driving at higher speeds. Nothing rattles and there is no feeling that "everything is about to fall apart". Loved the larger 11" OFF-ROAD tires that provide good grip in the woods. What else did you like?
I liked the powerful front lights, which were quite enough for night hikes in the woods and dazzling passers-by. I liked the Minimotors EY3 display, the visibility is significantly better than on the VSETT 10+, plus the lag from pressing the throttle to activating the motors is absolutely minimal (thanks Minimotors).
What could be better?
ZOOM brakes. Well come on Kaabo. At least give NUTT. It really wouldn't be difficult, and I think the difference would be noticeable. Don't get me wrong, the stock brakes on the KING work, they brake, well, but when you buy a scooter for €2400 - it could definitely be better brakes in the kit.
Sound signal. It's motorcycle grade and SOOO loud. In that sense, when riding on the streets next to other cars, it might be good, because they will definitely hear you, but when it comes to the desire to "beep" easily at a passer-by who is calmly walking on the bike path - it's better to just slow down and not use that horn. Because you will still have a heart attack...
Softer gas. Even though the Minimotors controller is adjustable, it still feels like the KING is too aggressive and the throttle too sensitive. If you switch to engine 1 right out of trouble, you can drive more smoothly, but as soon as you switch to two engines, the scooter runs like crazy. After longer rides, the hands feel... It would be interesting to try the "thumb throttle" solution, maybe then it would be possible to get better uniformity.
Compactness. I don't know why Kaabo chose this particular steering wheel folding mechanism, but when the scooter is folded - the front wheel goes forward a lot, so you really need a machine with a roomy trunk to accommodate it. But, maybe such a solution provides more stability, less swaying of the steering wheel?
Protection against dirt. If you ride in wetter weather conditions and through forests, puddles and mud - you will definitely return home with medals. Especially a lot of dirt gets into the rear shock absorbers, which have no protection - so be prepared for cleaning. True, the updated KING GT+ model has already solved this problem.
Verdict
The Kaabo Wolf King is very serious and probably the best or one of the best off-road scooters this year. In our opinion, stability is very important for off-roading, so a stiffer front shock absorber is a well-thought-out decision by Kaab. This monster is not designed for quiet rides, it constantly just begs for extreme.
It's true, don't forget that the weight of 48 kg is no joke, and lifting the scooter or placing it in the trunk is a "pain in the ass". Would we recommend it to others - definitely yes, but maybe it's worth thinking about Kaab's lighter brother "Wolf Warrior X / X GT". It is more maneuverable, and the folding mechanism is more convenient and compact, but of course not as powerful and fast as the real 72V "King".
