We share our personal experience and a few comments about the Inokim OXO scooter after a few hundred kilometers. We hope that it will be relevant and interesting to read!<\/p>\n
Premium unboxing experience and quality made model<\/li>\n

What didn't we like?<\/p>\n

There is no front mudguard and the rear one is not very effective either<\/li>\n
Only single charging port, very long charging from 0 to 100%<\/li>\n
Very few configuration options, no \u201cZERO START\u201d setting<\/li>\n
Weak front LED lights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Unboxing<\/h2>\n
Although the scooter traveled for ~ 2 months by train and truck \u2013 the protective box is a little damaged, but the original inner Inokim box is beautiful, not folded, all the contents and the scooter itself arrived without any defects. The unboxing experience is very pleasant, assembling the scooter took about 15 minutes. It was necessary to screw on the steering wheel, rear mudguard and inflate the tires. First impressions are very positive: high assembly quality, beautiful design, massive 60V 26Ah battery, enough power to climb even steep hills (2*1000W). Of course, with such parameters, it is not surprising that the weight of this scooter is as much as 33kg! You won\u2019t really want to carry it even to the first floor, let alone if it were a 5th\u2026<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Quality<\/h2>\n
We don't have too many complaints here. The scooter arrived very carefully packaged, so there were no transportation damages. It looks solidly assembled, made of high-quality materials and parts, and during this period there were no major problems. True, the rear mudguard loosened after the first few rides, but after tightening it a little more, everything was fine. Nothing creaks, a gasket is already installed in the folding mechanism (+an additional one came with it). The brakes needed a little more adjustment so that they wouldn't rub against the discs, but apart from that - you just take it and ride!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Engines \/ Power<\/h2>\n
As you know, the OXO model has 2 motors of 1000W each (instantaneous power 2600W), which are more than enough to drive even into steeper hills. We tested driving into a steeper Barbican hill in Vilnius, and with 2 motors it pulls up without any problems - and with 1, unfortunately, it gets stuck after driving in about 20-30% (tested with a load of 85kg). Other smaller hills like Ozo, Narbuto, etc. are not worth talking about, because they pull up at 50km\/h. Easy. Of course, those who expect a scooter with which you can shoot suddenly from a place - OXO will definitely not be the No. 1 choice, because its acceleration is made soft and even. Those who want sudden acceleration from a place - then it is better to take ZERO 10X\/11X or Kaabo Mantis.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Suspension \/ Shock absorbers<\/h2>\n
Many people are skeptical about single forks, but we ourselves calmly rode those 200km both on smoother roads and forest off-road (there were extreme ones) and there were no problems. Of course, 200km is not much for such a scooter, but there are people who have traveled 2000km+ and continue to ride as perfectly as possible. The new OXOs come with HIGH and HIGH+ shock absorber adapters (sleeves) - so we put on HIGH+ with which there is more softness and comfort. In principle, sometimes you might want an even softer ride (especially off-road), but if it starts to sway too much - then stability will decrease and steering will become difficult.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
MAX speed<\/h2>\n
The scooter comes out of the box with a 25km\/h limiter, but \u201cunlocking\u201d the speed to max is very simple and elementary. You will need to press the buttons on the handlebars a few times and that\u2019s it. With a fully charged battery on a flat road, a load of about 85kg and 2 motors \u2013 we managed to reach a speed of 60km\/h (OXO officially declares up to 65km\/h), and from a smaller hill we squeezed out about 68km\/h. True, there will be no place to ride at such speeds in the city, but on a straight road it is sometimes fun to push. Of course, only after making sure that it is safe, ride with a helmet and do not pose a threat to others. A helmet is definitely a \u201cmust\u201d, no matter how good you think your driving skills are!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
ZOOM Brakes<\/h2>\n
Innokim OXO comes with hydraulic \u201cZoom\u201d brakes, which may not be the best, but they do their job well and properly. They have never jammed or failed or anything. As we mentioned at the beginning, we only needed a little adjustment so that they don\u2019t rub against the discs and that\u2019s it. The brake levers are easy and comfortable to press, but the braking distance and efficiency depend on various conditions, so we won\u2019t comment too much on them. In short, the brakes work, the stock \u201cZoom\u201d is enough for us, although we have already seen that the latest OXO models come from the factory with even different XOD XD-D700 brakes. It will be interesting to hear people\u2019s feedback on them, whether they are better, etc.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Battery \/ Charging<\/h2>\n
In our opinion, the 25.6Ah battery is the right one for such a scooter. Of course, there will never be a "battery that is too capacious", but the larger it is - the more weight it increases accordingly. One of the minuses is that a full battery charge takes about 13-14 hours, i.e. if you actually return home in the evening with an empty battery - you should immediately plug it in to charge so that when you wake up in the morning it is sufficiently charged. On the other hand - will you really drive 50-60km every day? Unless you work with Wolt\/Bolt, then probably yes. Anyways, the fast charge option, a double charging socket like on the ZERO would be an advantage, maybe Inokim will think of something with the next update of its OX \/ OXO. When riding at higher speeds - the real distance traveled would be about 35-50km, when driving more economically - you can squeeze out some 70-80km. For us personally, the battery was completely enough for everything.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Driving experience<\/h2>\n
Inokim OXO rides comfortably and stably. Even at a speed of 50-60km\/h \u2013 we feel safe and confident. We get used to higher speeds very quickly, so after a while riding at 35-40km\/h seems somehow normal, maybe even too slow (haha). You can boldly and quickly pass lying policemen, especially if you jump a little before the beginning of the hill. And if you want to be even harder, you can jump over it completely \u2013 you just need to practice, because the scooter weighs 33kg.<\/p>\n
Driving off-road is also a lot of fun, it's a shame we didn't have off-road tires, because it would have been completely different then. Of course, it also depends on what kind of off-road road it is. If there are always only tree roots, coarse gravel, etc. - then you won't want to run fast, because there's too much shaking... If there's a better forest road - then it's something else entirely, and a very fun experience!<\/p>\n
What did you like\/dislike?<\/h2>\n
I liked that there is a red LED light at the back, which is useful in the dark and warns other road users, unfortunately, although the front LED lights look nice - they are quite weak and not enough for comfortable driving. You need to put something more powerful on the steering wheel.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The stand base is wide and long, and its end folds up (part of the mudguard), which can also be used to comfortably lean on. The base is fully enough to stand with your legs close together, in other words, there is a lot of space. The surface itself is plastic, so when it rains, it can become slippery to stand on it. It is worth noting that the scooter is quite large and heavy (33kg), so even when folded in half, it can be difficult to fit in the trunk. If you need to carry it up stairs a lot - oh, then you will have to work out... What else could be better - better mudguards. The back is still ok, but you can say that there is none at all in the front. We saw that someone made their own mount and put the same Inokim mudguard as the back on the front wheel. So if that is needed - we can come up with solutions for that.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And the last minus is that there is no possibility (with the stock version) to make the scooter start from a place, which would really help if you need to move on some hill or "get stuck" in the forest on a very steep hill. But such situations will probably not happen to you at all, and vice versa, the absence of "zero start" will save you in situations when the gas is accidentally pressed.<\/p>\n
Verdict<\/h2>\n
In our opinion, this OXO scooter is designed for those who value comfort, design and a pleasant riding experience, whether it is a daily commute or just a leisure vehicle. If you want mobility, compactness, sharp acceleration from a place - this scooter is definitely not for you. However, if you are looking for a reliable, beautiful, high-quality assembled, comfortable and powerful scooter - Inokim OXO is definitely worth your attention! Of course, not for \u20ac2300, but for \u20ac1700 it is a completely different story!<\/p>\n
