A few years ago, Ugreen was one of those names I saw on AliExpress or Banggood next to cheap mini-USB cables. Nothing special. However, the company founded in 2012 has clearly changed direction - more investment in design, technology and certification. Today, Ugreen can already boast of iF Design and Red Dot awards and a strong position among the most popular sellers on Amazon. Perhaps the most striking proof of this is the Nexode series of GaN chargers.

Assessment:
What did we like?
What didn't we like?
This time I'm reviewing the Ugreen Nexode PD 140W 25000mAh external battery with two integrated USB-C cables. The manufacturer promises the ability to charge up to four devices simultaneously, and the battery itself - to charge in less than two hours. Sounds ambitious, so let's see how everything looks in reality.
What's in the box and what's the build quality?
The box is minimalist and not too distinctive. Inside is the battery itself, a short instruction manual, and a USB-C cable. It would be nice to get at least a soft carrying case (the Anker 737 series has one). This is probably a cost-saving measure, but any additional case would be practical.

The body is plastic, consisting of two colors - gray and black. The plastic does not create a premium feel, but it does not leave a cheap impression either. A small matte screen is integrated on the side, showing the charge level in percent, and one button. One click turns on the screen, and holding it for about 3 seconds activates the low-current mode. The latter is designed to safely charge smaller devices - smart watches or wireless headphones.

The biggest highlight of this model is the two integrated USB-C cables. One supports up to 140W of power, the other up to 65W, for a total maximum output of 165W. Other connectors include USB-C up to 65W, and USB-A up to 22.5W. The integrated cables are covered in a durable fabric, so they look reliable and don't cause fear of rapid wear and tear.

One of the cables attaches to the case with a magnet, and the top one clips into the case, forming a loop. Although it stays in place, it still feels like the cable could easily slip out, so I don't feel completely comfortable carrying the battery by this loop. Plus, when putting the battery in a backpack or bag, this loop can even get in the way.

Tests
The main goal was to check how the battery behaves under maximum load conditions. I connected a laptop, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 11 Pro at the same time. Despite this combination, the performance remained stable - the computer was charged with sufficient power, and the phones did not cause any interference or speed fluctuations.

I then tested different scenarios - a computer with wireless headphones, a computer and another external battery, connecting the devices both via the integrated USB-C cables and via additional connectors. In all cases, the system worked smoothly - I did not notice any sudden power drops or overloads. Low-current mode with smartwatches also works as expected - ensuring slow and safe charging without unexpected fluctuations.

When connecting multiple devices at once, the battery level decreases quite quickly - this is natural, since the total output is high, and the capacity is not infinite. However, even with the maximum rapid discharge of the battery, the case is only warm and without any signs of overheating. That is why I can say that the temperature control in this model works flawlessly.

With one full charge of the green Nexode PD 140W, I was able to charge the aforementioned phones four times. I charged from about 15% to 100%, and after the last charge, the Ugreen battery still had 16% left. This practically corresponds to the manufacturer's declared ability to charge the phone about four times.

Charging speed
I charged the battery using the Baseus GaN3 Pro 65W charger. From 0 to about 80-90 percent, the charging power was about 58W and held fairly steady. As I approached full charge, the power naturally decreased and reached about 20W to 100 percent. The entire charging process from a completely empty battery to 100 percent took almost 2 hours.

It is worth noting that the battery itself supports up to 90W charging power, so using a more powerful charger would allow it to charge even faster. Considering the 25000mAh capacity and the fact that a 65W charger was used, the result obtained fully meets the manufacturer's promises.

What we didn't like?
The integrated USB-C cables are a great solution, but they are quite short. In most cases they will be enough, but in certain situations you would like a little more length. In addition, the top loop always sticks out and visually makes the battery even bigger. Also, at least a minimal case or bag would be useful in the package.

Verdict
Ugreen Nexode PD 140W 25000mAh - a battery that does what it promises. It stably charges up to four devices at the same time, and the case does not heat up too much at maximum load, so charging is safe and reliable. The integrated cables look sturdy, covered with high-quality fabric and allow you to forget about additional cables at home. Of course, the latter could be a little longer. The charging speed also corresponds to the manufacturer's declarations, and overall - Ugreen justifies its name as a reliable and high-quality manufacturer.
