When looking for various offers for you, we often discover great manufacturers that are less known in the world of technology. Today, our eye was caught by Eleglide - a brand introduced to Geekbuying in 2021. A fairly young company, but already with quite a few products in its portfolio. So, the T2 electric bike, introduced this spring, ended up in our hands.

Assessment:
What did we like?
What didn't we like?
This is a "trekking" type bike, which is suitable for riding not only on smooth city roads but also on forest trails. The 250W motor will help you overcome steeper hills, and the 468Wh battery will allow you to use this motor for up to 100 km. Hydraulic disc brakes, front shock absorbers, IPX4 rating, app control - all this for a very attractive price? Don't expect it. Let's try it!

Unboxing
The seemingly inconspicuous box hides a very securely packed bike - all parts are secured and protected by thick layers of foam. Eleglide T2 with the front wheel and handlebars removed. This is a common method of transportation, and full assembly will not require technical knowledge. The included instructions are in color, and the assembly photos are clear.

The kit includes everything you need to assemble this bike. Tools, pedals, charger, headlight and even gloves to do the job. All you need to do is bring a pump. As always, here it works great Xiaomi electric pumpEven those who are assembling a bicycle for the first time will not face any challenges and the entire assembly will not take more than 30 minutes.

Assembly quality
The build quality is positive. The frame is solid, aluminum, in a nice and unobtrusive matte gray color. The welds are quite neat, which is not always the case in this price category. The steering column is solid, the fork dampens quietly. The wires at the front are not impressively hidden, so they interfere with the overall look a little.

The mudguards have several attachment points, so they don't come loose while riding. The trunk is metal and sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised by the hydraulic disc brakes, which were adjusted neatly from the first ride and brake flawlessly.

The small display on the handlebars is colored and easily visible in the sun. At the bottom are three buttons that are used to change the level of the assist and turn it on/off. The 7-speed crankset is Shimano Tourney, often seen on bikes in the cheaper segment.

So, to sum up - for the price, the build quality is really pleasantly surprising. You get a fairly heavy, but sturdy and well-made bike that doesn't look cheap.

Driving experience
Eleglide T2 is a comfortable bike. The seat is soft, the handlebars are wide, and its height is adjustable. You don't have to bend over while riding, your back remains straight. The sitting position is perfect for long trips.

The 27.5-inch tires are thick enough, so unevenness in the road is practically imperceptible. The front shock absorbers also absorb larger potholes in the road. I have no complaints about the brakes - braking is effective and smooth.

Although the bike is quite heavy (~28kg), riding it without using the motor is not much different from a regular bike. The T2 rolls easily and all gears shift smoothly. The extra weight is only felt when pedaling uphill.

Electric motor / helper / assistant
The 250W motor meets EU legal standards, making the Eleglide T2 fully road legal. A speed sensor (cadence) paired with the motor activates the motor quickly and seamlessly, providing assistance at the selected level.

There are 5 of these levels and they are divided according to maximum speed. Level 1 provides assistance up to 12 km/h; Level 2 provides assistance up to 15 km/h; Level 3 provides assistance up to 18 km/h; Level 4 provides assistance up to 21 km/h; Level 5 provides assistance up to 25 km/h. Power transmission, i.e. the amount of assistance needed to reach the speed, is regulated via the P settings.

The preset maximum power provides an unpleasant experience, as the bike simply "shoots" forward. The lowest is perfect for a quiet ride and the electric motor becomes practically imperceptible, and the power is more than enough to get up the hills.

Knowing that the speed lever is not included in the T2 kit (it can be purchased additionally), how did you manage to overcome the hills? Incredibly easy - 14° Želvos Street in Vilnius with some effort, and the hills of Narbutas or Ukmergė Streets did not pose any challenge.

App
Eleglide also has an app of the same name. By connecting the T2 to it, you can see your speed, control the assistant levels, and the lighting. You can also update the software and increase the maximum speed limit to 32 km/h. Perhaps one of the coolest features is the ability to set a password for unlocking the bike.

Verdict
The Eleglide T2 is a great choice for those looking for a practical and affordable electric bike for longer trips or everyday use. It doesn't claim to be "premium", but for its price it offers very solid value: excellent equipment, good build quality and a sufficiently powerful motor.
