On September 24, 2025, along with other new Xiaomi devices, a new generation of robot vacuum cleaners was introduced — Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 and Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro. These are modern household assistants designed to make vacuuming and floor washing as automated as possible. Let's take a look at their technical parameters, key differences, and find out which model may best suit your needs.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 has a suction power of up to 20,000 Pa, so it can easily handle even stubborn dust or pet hair. Advanced dToF laser navigation with a "hidden in the body" radar allows the vacuum cleaner to reach hard-to-reach places, such as under furniture. Special anti-tangle technology prevents hair from clogging the brush, and the mop can be lifted up to make it convenient to move over carpets or other higher surfaces.

In addition, the robot has a side brush that moves closer to walls and cleans corners. Similarly, the mop can slide to the side to reach edges and perform an even more efficient floor cleaning. The kit includes an automatic base station that not only empties the dust bag, but also washes and dries the mops with hot air.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro retains all the strengths of the regular model, but has additional advantages. The Pro version is equipped with an artificial intelligence obstacle recognition system with an HD camera, which helps to avoid even the smallest objects on the floor and plan the route more effectively. Another unique feature is the lifting main brush, which automatically rises when a large amount of liquid is detected on the path.

As on the regular model, the mop can also be moved to the side, and the brush adapts to the surface, so corners and edges of the floor are cleaned with great precision. The base station retains the same functions - automatic dust emptying, cleaning of the mops and their hygienic drying.

Which model to choose?
If you are looking for a reliable and powerful robot vacuum cleaner for everyday house cleaning, I think the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 model will be enough. It provides extremely strong suction power, cleans floors neatly with a retractable mop, and cleans corners perfectly with the side brush.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro may be a more attractive choice for those who want an even smarter assistant: its AI obstacle recognition system with a camera provides more accuracy, is able to recognize over 200 different objects and 47 types of dirt. A lifting main brush and advanced algorithms allow the robot to choose the most appropriate solution when faced with challenges at home.
Prices and availability
During the presentation, it was announced that the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 will cost around €649, and the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro will cost around €799. Both models will be available on the European market in the fall of 2025, and will later be available in official retail partner stores. Will we get better deals from DHgate or other NiuxTech partner e-stores? We don't know yet, but be sure to follow the news!
