OnePlus 15 – everything we already know about the new flagship before the official launch

2025-10-10

The OnePlus 15 is already generating a lot of interest among tech enthusiasts, even though the official launch is still awaited. Leaks and certification data give us a pretty clear picture of what this next-generation flagship will look like and what it will offer. The manufacturer seems to be preparing to take a big step forward - from design to battery capacity and performance.

Design

OnePlus 15 will feature a new design. The phone will ditch the round camera module that is currently common and instead use a square, angular block that will give the device a more solid look. The body, according to sources, will be made of metal with a ceramic coating, using the so-called “micro-arc oxidation” technology, which should improve resistance to scratches and fingerprints. Some leaks also mention that the traditional “Alert Slider” switch may be replaced with a new “Plus Key” button, which will allow the user to quickly call up AI functions or selected actions.

Screen

According to the latest rumors, the OnePlus 15 will have a 6.7-6.78-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of about 1.5K and a very high refresh rate of 165Hz. This will allow for exceptional image smoothness both when browsing and playing games. An important detail is that all four frames around the screen will be almost the same thickness, so the front of the phone will look very symmetrical and visually balanced. This is a design decision that we have usually seen only in high-end "premium" devices until now.

Iron

One of the key strengths of the OnePlus 15 will be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, which is manufactured on an advanced 3nm process and promises a significant performance boost. Test results that have appeared in Geekbench leaks suggest that the device should outperform its predecessor in both single-core and multi-core performance.

Camera

The device will feature a triple 50-megapixel system with a main, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto lens offering around 3x optical zoom. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is expected. This time, OnePlus seems to be ending its partnership with Hasselblad and moving to its own image processing engine called DetailMax, which should improve color accuracy and image detail.

Battery and charging

One of the most intriguing news is the battery capacity. The OnePlus 15 may be the manufacturer's first flagship with a battery of as much as 7000-7300 mAh. This is a significant leap, which should ensure an extremely long operating time even with active use of the device. In addition, the phone will support 120W wired charging, allowing you to fully charge the battery in just a few dozen minutes, and up to 50W wireless charging. Such a combination will allow the OnePlus 15 to stand out not only in power, but also in everyday convenience.

Software and memory

The OnePlus 15 is likely to run on Android 16 with the latest OxygenOS improvements. Buyers will be able to choose from several storage configurations, from 12GB RAM and 256GB storage to 16GB RAM and 512GB, with a 1TB model possible in some markets. The phone has already received China's 3C certification, which means that production is nearing completion and an official launch could happen at any moment. The device is also expected to be IP68 or even IP69 water and dust resistance, so it should be suitable for use in a variety of conditions.

Delivery dates

According to several reliable leaks, the OnePlus 15 should be launched in China on October 27, 2025. The global launch, depending on the region, could take place in mid-November, with some sources mentioning a specific date of November 13, although it is not ruled out that some markets will see the phone only in early 2026. Such a pace would be in line with the trend of recent years, when OnePlus has been increasingly reducing the time gap between China and the global premiere.

Resume

The OnePlus 15 looks like one of the most ambitious projects from the manufacturer in the last decade. The powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, a huge battery with super fast charging, a high-resolution 165Hz display, and a new design show that OnePlus is aiming to return to the top of the flagships. If at least some of these rumors are confirmed, the OnePlus 15 could become one of the most interesting and competitive Android phones of 2025-2026. The official launch is just around the corner, so the wait seems worth it.
