When the weather is great in summer, all you want to do is go to the lake and have fun. Inflatable paddle boards are no longer new in Lithuania, but I believe that not everyone has had the chance to try this water entertainment. In this review, we will share our experience, impressions and recommendations when choosing your first paddle!

Unboxing
FunWater Monkey 350cm Inflatable Paddleboard arrived from DHgate online store. Delivery took about 1 week, everything was neatly and safely packed. The set also includes: paddle, paddle, hand pump, 3 fins, leg strap, phone case, hole repair kit, instructions and transport bag.
Quality
This is the fourth inflatable paddle that I have personally tried. Earlier models were a bit shorter (320-330cm), and this "FunWater Monkey" model is even 350cm. But does the length of the SUP have any effect on swimming? I will share about it a little later, and now some more impressions about the quality.
So when you look at the paddle from all sides everything looks neat and nicely stitched and attached. The colors of "Print'o" are bright, the padding part also holds firmly, there are no loose edges. At the very front, there is a specially placed mounting connection on which an action camera can be mounted.
A little lower, 3 carabiners on both sides, through which an elastic rope is inserted. This space is for safe storage of belongings, waterproof bags, etc. It is true that this model does not have side carabiners/rings to which a seat can be attached, so if this is relevant - choose another FunWater option.
The paddle consists of three parts. In the upper part, there is also a loosening-tightening latch, which can be used to extend the length of the paddle and adjust it according to your height. (so that swimming is comfortable and convenient). There are 3 mounting joints on the bottom of the paddle that the fins slide into.
The transport backpack is made of relatively thin fabric, the zippers run smoothly and do not get stuck anywhere. Conveniently opens all the way to the bottom, so it's easy to put everything away. Well, there is still enough space to put additional things, e.g. paper towel, electric pump.
Preparation
The entire preparation process is quite simple and easy to understand. We unroll the paddle, unscrew the blow hole, check if the valve has bounced (so we can successfully inflate), and then we start working with the pump.
You will have to work out a bit with the hand pump included in the kit, as it can take about 15-20 minutes to inflate to 15PSI. In the beginning, everything is easier, but when a higher pressure is reached, the process becomes correspondingly more difficult. But as I mentioned, this is not my first inflatable paddle board, so after a while I decided to make life a little easier by purchasing an electric pump.
I'm currently using a rechargeable one electric pump "BRAND", which takes care of the necessary SUP pressure in about 10 minutes (12PSI in 9 min., 15PSI in 11 min.). I really recommend the 100% pump for those who go swimming more often or have several paddle boards. By the way, this pump can also be used for inflatable mattresses, rafts, swimming pools, etc.
Swimming
Well, the FunWater paddle is already inflated, all you have to do is put three fins on the back, attach the leg strap (if desired), put together an oar and head for the water. For first-timers, I recommend starting in a sitting position or on your knees, in order to get used to it and feel the balance.
Also, try to keep the position slightly below the center of the paddle, about where the carry handle ends. After swimming a little and getting used to it, you can try to stand with your feet at shoulder level. The most important thing is not to make any sudden movements, and remember to bend your legs slightly at the knees when standing. To make rowing comfortable - adjust the length of the paddle so that you don't have to bend over.
So, did I feel any difference between the 320cm and 350cm paddles? To be honest - when swimming alone - I did not feel any significant difference. Yes, a bit more space, more lift, but with my 85kg weight (even when swimming with a child) a 320-330cm model is also quite enough.
Verdict
"FunWater Monkey" 350cm long inflatable paddle stands out for its colorful design and special connection for action camera at a particularly attractive price. According to the information provided by the manufacturer, it should withstand a weight of up to 180 kg (it was not possible to test it ourselves), which is an ideal option if you want to have fun on the water with two or several children.
It is true that if you will swim alone or the total weight will reach ~140 kg, a shorter model is also completely sufficient. The prices of 320-330cm FunWater SUPs are also lower, so I think it is worth saving and additionally purchasing a rechargeable electric pump, which will speed up and facilitate the inflation and deflation process.
One of the biggest advantages of SUP is its compactness and convenient transportation. It fits easily in the trunk of a car and can be taken anywhere you want. Swim to the middle of the lake and chill in peace, sunbathe, swim, float surrounded by nature! And children also like this entertainment very much, my first grader already bravely climbs for a swim alone.
